This is an\u00a0unmissable event featuring one of literature\u2019s foremost voices,\u00a0whose work combines deep compassion with a powerful\u00a0critique of society\u2019s rules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mike McCormack<\/strong>\u00a0comes from the west of\u00a0Ireland and is the author of two collections of\u00a0short stories and four novels. His works include\u00a0<em>Solar Bones<\/em>\u00a0(Tramp Press, 2016), which won\u00a0the Goldsmiths Prize, the Bord Gais Energy Irish\u00a0Novel of the Year and Book of the Year, and the\u00a0International Dublin Literary Award.\u00a0<em>Solar Bones<\/em>\u00a0was also longlisted for the Man Booker Prize in\u00a02017. His books have also won the Rooney Prize for Literature\u00a0and been selected by the New York Times as a Notable Book of\u00a0the Year.
