On Clouds<\/strong><\/p>\n Accumulated exhalations of the oceans, contrail, mammatus, orograph, and pileus, run to wind-torn Morning Glory, ghost in the lake, roll wet haired, melted and mercury pointed, you lift hands heather-purple and molten set in a bowl there\u2019s your swing,<\/p>\n red browed to sunset and the coloured cups cumulus foot on the earth<\/p>\n nimbo stratus and the unmilked cow turning its head turning its flank to the shadow<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Terry Jones<\/a> was shortlisted in the main category<\/a> of the NCLA’s Water Poetry Competition 2012<\/a>.<\/p>\n The NCLA Water Poetry Competition was judged by W.N. \nfuture shadows, horizon\u2019s trees,
\nhow in heaps, layers and curls of hair

\nform billows, pouches, smooth skull-caps,<\/p>\n
\naccording to your natures
\nyou gather in global brightening,
\nin noctilucence, in ferns, spoked wheels
\nand filleted honeycombs of red, of orange,
\nof twisted pink and bluish-grey
\na progeny of crystals,
\nas congestus, calvus, capilatus, floccus, and humilis:
\nyour veils, grains and ripples, waves and rows

\nthen flung open so citied and wild blossomed

\npart to the chalk horizon, move an arm
\narms, armfuls
\nof full snow over your face
\nso down the back of your falling is white in a drift
\nand a blue eye
\nshows and closes;<\/p>\n
\nwhere you touch the heartland<\/p>\n
\nfeet wet and touching the world\u2019s edge
