Zoë Quick

Poems: Poems by Zoë Quick

Zoë Quick’s architectural practice, research and teaching engages performance and interdisciplinary collaboration to ‘enact’ relationships between archives, communities and ecologies. Her current PhD research at the Bartlett and Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, re-performs the old Welsh custom of gwlana (wool-gathering), as a means to listen to the Welsh mountain Pumlumon, in the context of current debate over this mountain’s future. Following the spectral wool-gatherer, her somatic performative research between archives of institution and mountain involves walking, talking, spinning, weaving, sharing stories, and singing and writing ballads.

The Poetry Shed at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, is an on-line resource and forum for creative writing across the School. Featured here at ‘Inside Writing’ are poems, readings and film-poems, which celebrate the range of work by current Slade students who engage with poetry.
