Join us at NCLA’s first partnership event with Brown Girls Write, the ground-breaking Newcastle West End writer’s group supported by New Writing North for the launch of the group’s second anthology. Thresholds brings together diverse forms and voices to explore youth, belonging and making language at the intersection of cultures.

Presented with readings from the authors, copies of Thresholds will be available from Butcher’s Dog publishing on the night.

Brown Girls Write is a free and accessible writing group for all womxn of colour who are 16+ and are interested in nurturing their creative writing skills or want to give writing a go. It is run by New Writing North in collaboration with group members and funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
